Sports and Games:

                            By virtue of the excellent performance of our students in all games and sports, our students have won for the college a pre-eminent position among all the degree and PG Colleges of 4 Districts i.e., Khammam, Karimnagar, Adilabad and Warangal affiliated to Kakatiya University.  As always, this year too our students have come out in flying colors winning overall championship in all the games of 1^st phase, Kakatiya University Inter - Collegiate Tournaments, Individual Championship, Best Athlete Award and Over all Championship in Athletics in 2^nd phase Inter - Collegiate Tournaments.

 Inter-collegiate tournaments were held at Kakatiya University grounds from 24.08.04 to 26.08.04. 30 students represented the college in 1^st phase tournaments and won the University over all championship for the year 2004 - 05. Out of 7 games conducted we were winners in Volleyball, Table Tennis and Shuttle Badminton and were runners-up in Kabaddi and Chess.

Kum. R Rama Jyothi of II BA represented Kakatiya University in All India Inter-University Cross-country championship held at Gulburga University on 19.09.04.

Kum Md Neelofer III BA represented Kakatiya University in All India Inter-University Chess Championship held at Magadh University from 10.09.04.

 Kum G Uma Devi III B Com and Kum G Prasanthi I BA represented KU at South Zone Inter University Shuttle Badminton tournament held at Annamalai University from 03.10.04.

Kum G Vasavi and Kum S Sirisha of III MSCA represented KU in South West Zone Inter University Kho-kho Championship held at Banastali, Vidyapeeth, Gujarath from 12.10.04

Kum Y Vijaya Lakshmi represented KU in Sounth Zone Inter University Table Tennis Championship held at Alagappa University, Karaikudi from 06.11.04

Kum CH. Rama Devi and Kum P.Dhana Lakshmi II BZC represented Kakatiya University in South West Zone, Inter University Hand Ball Tournament held               

II phase Inter-Collegiate Tournaments were held on 27^th and 28^th October 04 at KU grounds in Athletics and BasketBall. Our 12-member team won the BasketBall and won over all championship in Athletics with 89 points. Kum B Manga Devi I BA has won individual championship with 35 points and was awarded the Best Athlete award of the University for the year 2004 - 05.

Kum K Sowjanya III MPCS, Kum K Sri Devi III BACA, Kum B Bhoo Devi III MPC and Kum Rubeena Begum II B Com represented KU in South West Zone Inter University Volleyball tournament held at Calicut University from 18.12.04

Kum P Manga Devi of I BA represented KU in All India Inter-University Athletic championship held at Nagarjuna University from 27.12.04 to 31.12.04.

Kum A Shailaja of I BZC represented KU in South West Zone Inter-University Kabaddi tournament held at M S Tirunalveli University  from 01.01.05 to 6.01.2005.

Kum Ch Rama Devi and Kum P Dhana laxmi of II BZC TM,  Kum P Bahumathi of I MBC represented KU in South West Zone Inter-University Basketball Tournament held at  Sardar patel University, Gujarat from 07.01.05 to 11.01.2005.

Kum V Usha Sri Mallika of I B Com represented KU in All India Inter-University power-lifting and Weight Lifting championship  held at Andhra University from 09.01.05 to 11.01.2005.  She won silver medal in power lifting. She is also selected to represent Junior power-lifting Nationals to be held at Lucknow in the last week of Jan 05.  The management have sanctioned her a cash prize of Rs 10,000/- for power lifting costume.

District level and State level participation:

            Kum G Uma Devi of III B Com and Kum G Prashanthi of I BA represented the college in District level Shuttle Badminton Championship held at Khammam on 30.07.04 and won the District championship in doubles.

6 students represented our college in the District level Basketball at Khammam in the last week of September 04 and five students Kum Ramadevi, Kum.P Manga Devi, Kum. P Dhanalaxmi, Kum. P Lavanaya and Kum S Bahumathi represented the District in State level women Basketball tournament held at Vijayawada from 03.10.04 to 07.10.04.

Our college Basket Ball team won the District Level senior Basket Ball Championship held at Prakasham Stadium Grounds in the 3^rd week of November, 2004.

            Kum Ch. Sandhya Vani and Kum Ch. Sandhya Rani  II BA represented the District in State level Ball Badminton tournament held at Goleti from 17.12.04 to 19.12.04.

            Kum V Usha Sri Mallika represented the District in State level power-lifting and weight lifting championship and stood first in power-lifting and second in weight-lifting held at Yellandu from 10.12.04 to 12.12.04.

            Kum V Usha Sri Mallika won the District level weight lifting championship held at Khammam in the third week of December 04.

            Noteworthy  achievements of this academic year  are - All Round Championship in the 1^st phase Inter-collegiate tournaments,  Individual Championship and Best Athlete award to Kum P Manga Devi of I BA. in Athletics and over all Championship in Athletics in 2^nd phase Inter - collegiate Tournaments.

            I am proud to inform you that Maximum number participants that represent Kakatiya University in All India, South West Zone and South Zone Inter-University tournaments in Athletics, Basketball, Chess, Cross-country, Kabaddi, Kho-kho, Handball, Shuttle Badminton, Table Tennis, Power-lifting and weight-lifting and volleyball  (11 disciplines) i.e., 19 girls are from  our college.

JUNIOR NATIONALS:

Junior Power Lifting Nationals at Lucknow, UP         V.Usha Sri Mallika I B.Com.

            Smt Talluru Vijayalaxmi, Lec in Phy. Edn represented and led the State Masters Athletic team in Silver Jubilee National Masters Athletic Championship held at Hyderabad from 04.03.04 to 07.03.04 and won 2 Gold  and 1 Silver Medal in 100M, 200M sprint and Triple jump in 50+ age group. She was selected to represent India in the 13^th Asia Masters Athletic Championships.

She represented India in the 13^th Asia Masters Athletic Championship held at National Stadium Bangkok, Thailand from 01.12.04 to 05.12.04 and won 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in 50+ age group in Triple jump, 4 x 100m relay, 4 x 400m relay and Javelin throw. She is the only athlete from A. P to represent India in 5 Asian meets and 3 world meets.
